The truth is, if you live in the Midland area and you want a lawn that is green and healthy, you need to be using a grub control product as part of your lawn care program. It’s simply not an option.
What are grubs, and why are they a nightmare for your lawn?
Grubs are the C-shaped larvae of different beetles, with 5 varieties thriving in our area (Japanese, May/June, Oriental, European Chafer and Masked Chafer). They’re a menace to lawns because they feed on the fibrous roots of the grass plants and kill the turf. Even worse, they serve as a food source for birds and animals that cause a lot of damage by digging up your lawn trying to get to the grubs.

Years ago, not all lawns in our area had a problem with grubs. However, over time grubs have flourished and are now present in almost all lawns in Midland, Saginaw and Bay City. It’s to the point now where if you aren’t using a grub control product as part of your lawn care program, you are putting your lawn at serious risk to devastation from grubs.
Ironically, grubs pose the worst problems to green lawns that receive good fertilization and watering because the resulting grass roots are lush and nutrient rich.
Don’t Get Ripped off on Grub Control Treatments!
With all our Reder Landscaping Lawn Care Fertilization Programs, grub control is included and has been for several years. This is true of our Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum level programs. We use the finest products in the turf industry and one of them is a combination fertilizer and grub preventative that produces outstanding results for us.
A lot of companies (particularly the national chains) like to give cheap initial quotes for their basic fertilization program using inferior products just to get you to sign up. Then they try to “up-sell” grub control as a separate “add on” treatment, often charging double the price of a single treatment!
At Reder Landscaping we don’t play games like that. We want to provide you with the lawn that you’ve always wanted, and grub control is something everyone needs for healthy turf. That’s why we provide it to all our lawn care customers at no additional charge.
Reder Landscaping is a locally owned, third generation company with over 50 years experience and 1400 happy customers!
