STEPHANIE RICHARDSON

Stephanie is a passionate horticulturist, landscape designer and outdoor stylist with over 25 years of dedicated experience transforming outdoor spaces and sharing her love of horticulture with the community.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University and has built a dynamic career that spans both the public and private sectors.

After earning her degree, Stephanie began her journey in the nursery industry where her love of plants was cultivated.  She later founded her own landscape business, honing her skills as a designer and  learning what it takes to bring beautiful landscapes to life through hands-on experience.

Stephanie’s work in the public sector as the City of Midland’s Horticulturist and designer for 18 years has left an enduring impact on the community. She spearheaded city-wide beautification efforts, developed the horticulture division, and managed the forestry and parks divisions, leaving a legacy of thoughtfully designed public spaces that continue to inspire.

Beyond her horticultural and landscape design expertise, Stephanie brings a unique flair to outdoor styling. She offers her clients the ability to enhance their outdoor spaces with the addition of thoughtful elements—such as containers, tables, and décor that create inviting and cohesive environments that reflect personal style. Her designs are not only functional but also deeply artistic, often incorporating elements of art to create spaces that resonate on both a personal and aesthetic level.
